How much does BPA1 Personal cost?

It's free on the Microsoft Store — no subscription and no account required. Optional AI features use your own OpenAI API key, which you pay OpenAI for directly.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Each project is a single .bpa1 file containing a standard SQLite database plus your forms, queries, reports, attachments and documents. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Is it a Microsoft Access replacement?

It borrows the useful ideas — tables, forms, queries, reports and simple automation — without the legacy file format, VBA or shared-file database problems. It doesn't import Access files, and it's deliberately single-user and local-first.

Can I share the apps I build?

Yes — a .bpa1 file can be copied and shared like a document. You can also publish a read-only copy with its own branding, and optionally password-protect it, which encrypts the entire bundle.

Do the AI features send my data to the cloud?

Only when you use them, and only via your own OpenAI API key. The AI Agent and Ask AI are optional — everything else in BPA1 Personal works entirely offline.

What platforms does it run on?

Windows today, free from the Microsoft Store. The same local-first engine also runs on macOS, Linux and Android.
